Ticket on-sale information has been unveiled for the initial North American leg of Bruce Springsteen (http://www.livedaily.com/artists/43.html)'s upcoming tour with the E Street Band.
According to Springsteen's official website (http://www.brucespringsteen.net/), tickets will begin to roll out Sept. 8, when on-sales begin for shows in Hartford, CT; Philadelphia; Chicago; and Albany, NY.
On-sales are scheduled to get underway in additional markets through Sept. 22; the tour's current itinerary and on-sale dates are included below.
Of the shows announced so far, only the tour's Oct. 28 stop in Los Angeles is lacking an on-sale date. The venue for that gig hasn't been revealed, either.
As previously reported (http://www.livedaily.com/news/12711.html), Springsteen and the E Street Band are set to embark on their first full-scale tour of the US and Europe since 2003. The initial leg launches Oct. 2 in Hartford, CT--the same day the band's new album, "Magic," is set to drop.
There are currently 15 North American cities on the itinerary, after which the band will tackle a series of dates in Europe.
Joining Springsteen on the trek will be E Street Band members Roy Bittan (keyboards), Clarence Clemons (sax, percussion), Danny Federici (keyboards), Nils Lofgren (guitar), Patti Scialfa (vocals, guitar), Garry Tallent (bass), Steven Van Zandt (guitar) and Max Weinberg (drums).
In a statement, Springsteen's manager, Jon Landau, described the forthcoming "Magic" album as "a high energy rock CD," adding, "It's light on its feet, incredibly well played by Bruce and the members of the E Street Band, and, as always, has plenty to say."
The set's first single, "Radio Nowhere," is available free this week via Apple's iTunes Music Store [ click to download (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/stat?id=mFUeHlSZha0&offerid=78941&type=3&subid=0&tmpid=1826&RD_PARM1=http%253A%252F%252Fphobos.apple.com%252FW ebObjects%252FMZStore.woa%252Fwa%252FviewAlbum%253 Fi%253D262553298%2526id%253D262553292%2526s%253D14 3441%2526partnerId%253D30) ].
