Princess Diana dubbed Camilla Parker Bowles the “Rottweiler”, and blamed her for the break-up of her marriage to Prince Charles, telling a TV reporter ”there were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded”.
At one stage it looked as though the Duchess of Cornwall would attend Diana’s memorial service on the 10th anniversary of the princess’ death.
But Camilla, who married Charles in 2005, has pulled out amid reports that she did not feel comfortable attending.
Did she make the right decision? Would her presence have diverted attention from the purpose of the occasion, as she said?

It is her decision to make.....

I think she made the right decision, Prince Charles wanted her there and so did the two Princes, but if she had gone the press and the public would have torn her to pieces.
I like Camilla and i`m glad to see Prince Charles so happy with her, I admire the way she handled this

He probably should have married her in the first place. Sounds like she was his true love. Camilla probably did the right thing.

I think she did the right thing. I really don't think she had any business attending. Diana couldn't stand her.

I think she made the respectful decision. Diana's sons wanted her to attend which I think shows they have alot of class and have definitely inherited their Moms graciousness. But the press would have made it all about her presence at the event and that would have been a spectacle.

She should not have attended...much respect that she stepped aside

Sounds like the media would've played it up and her presence would detract from the focus of the memorial. I think she did the right thing...
I don't think I can add anything else as I agree with what was said. I'm not sure that I like Camillia as I really haven't heard anything about her.

I think she did the right thing. I agree with Marion; he probably should have married her in the first place.

Isn't it sad that the media have forced her to make this decision, though? Bastards.

No, she had absolutely NO business attending this memorial! I don't think
it's the media's fault that she's not welcome there, it's her own.

I think she did the right thing by not going.

In all honesty. She should have never thought of attending. Whether the Prince or Princes wanted her there or not, the people didn't.

She was right on both counts. I don't necessarily like her, but I've never been thrilled with Charles, either.

If Charles, and the princes wanted her there than its ok that she was there but if she felt that uncomfortable about it she made the right decesion.
