Alt-rockers Linkin Park (http://www.livedaily.com/artists/998.html) have mapped out a three-week headlining trek next spring as the band continues to support its latest studio set, the double-platinum "Minutes to Midnight."
The outing--with opening support from prog-metal outfit Coheed & Cambria (http://www.livedaily.com/artists/199225.html)--will kick off Feb. 12 in Omaha, NE. The tour runs through early March, hitting 14 cities throughout North America. Dates are listed below.
Attendees of the upcoming shows will be given the option of purchasing a "digital souvenir package," consisting of a live audio download of that night's show, exclusive concert photos and a digital tour program, according to tour organizers. More information about the promotion is available at the band's official website (http://linkinpark.com/).
Fans snapped up 623,000 copies of Linkin Park's "Minutes to Midnight" during the album's first week in US stores back in May. Co-produced by Rick Rubin (U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and the band's frontman, Mike Shinoda, the group's third album cracked the one million sales mark and received platinum certification a mere four weeks after its release.
According to Linkin Park's record label, the set--which has spawned three Top 10 radio hits, including the album's latest single and video, "Shadow of the Day"--has shipped over 4 million copies worldwide, and has hit the No. 1 slot in 32 countries.
Linkin Park has sold 40 million records worldwide since its 2000 debut, "Hybrid Theory," which alone moved more than 18 million copies, according to a press release.
