No, but it does annoy me when a Christmas tree is called a "holiday tree".

Nope. I don't care what's it called. Whatever rocks your boat. But...don't come down on me when I want to say Merry Christmas.

Yes. I hate how everything is holiday right now. wtf is a holiday tree??
And at work they tell us we can't say Christmas, have to say "holiday".
Well, that's not happening!! They can fire me if they want.
There's not alot that can get my goat, but this is one issue that does.

Yes it really rattles my cage , we are told that the word Christmas might offend the ethnic groups living here , well excuse me but don`t come to live here if you don`t like our customs , we don`t try to stop you having yours .
Actually when they have asked these people ,they say it doesn`t offend them at all,so i think it`s probably all down to the do-gooders again

Don't Care what others want to call it but it makes me mad is when they try to change my customs by telling me to tell people happy holidays instead of Merry Christmas.

Happy Holidays doesn't bother me, but I want to be able to say Merry Christmas if I feel like it!

I swear my relatives told me that they heard Santa won't be allowed to say "ho, ho, ho" because some people find the term "ho" offensive. LOL

I agree with you, Christine.

I guess if somebody wishes me either ... he/she means well.... in my personal understanding of psychology it would mean I was noticed as a human being (which is good nowadays) :p

It doesn't bother me at all.

One time when I went to the grocery store with my brother the cashier was telling everyone "Merry Christmas" as they checked out, but when my brother and I walked up they said "happy holidays" and then continued to say "Merry Christmas" to the people behind us. It made me laugh. I geuss like everyone else, the cashier thought we were Jewish, because even though were not, we sure do look like it.

LMAOOO! Good grief! What next?

Saying happy holidays doesn't really bother me, except when people use it because they think it's "politically correct". I can't stand that. If you want to say Merry Christmas, say it!

in my 300 years on earth (trying to get to 800 like moses) (shit can i say that?) i've never said 'happy holidays' and i'm not gonna start now. we are a country of different origins and came here to make a better life and have our freedoms. those freedoms are gone now because of a small amount of groups that can't shut their mouths (and don't even belong here) and the assholes we elect to office. i believe any elected office should be for 1 year. do your shit or get voted out. these small groups have more money than most americans put together, so what does that tell you? maybe someone is getting paid off in DC?

It does kinda irritate me because everyone is trying to not offend anyone. At school it's no longer Christmas Break, but Winter break. It's a tradition for our country to say Merry Christmas, because it was a part of our founding beliefs. Why should we have to change it? And seriously, wft is a "holiday tree"?

It doesn't bother me what kind of nicety people want to say to me. I'd rather hear Happy Solstice, Kwanzaa, Satan Day, whatever day than the mean spirited crap most people say to and about each other these days. Its not worth any energy on my part to get worked up over which Happy Whatever I'm being wished. Heck, they could be telling me to F-off, so I'm happy to see a smile and any well wish once in awhile.
