Veteran rockers The Who have denied rumours they are taking a break from recording - insisting they will release a new album next year.
Singer Roger Daltrey confirmed guitarist and songwriter Pete Townshend is composing new tracks for the band's next LP - just a year after releasing their long-awaited album Endless Wire - their first studio release since 1982.
Daltrey says, "At the moment, Pete is writing new material. He has told me some of the ideas which sound really intriguing and as usual from Pete, it's never dull."
Townshend previously said a tour of Japan and Australia took priority over a new album.
