Cult rock duo The White Stripes have reassured fans drummer Meg White is recovering from a medical crisis - by returning to the studio to record new songs.
The pair scrapped a number of tour dates in September after frontman Jack White revealed his partner was suffering from "acute anxiety," adding she was "unable to travel at this time."
But, according to a post on the group's website, White is well and the duo are recording new tracks.
The online message alerts fans to the fact the duo has "recorded three never-before-heard original songs (with a special collaboration) and one unique new version of a song from (new album) 'Icky Thump.'"
Jack White also reveals the group has filmed a new video for an as-yet-unnamed song.
